The biggest thing to be aware of in the modern social media space

and using it for growing your business or following is the algorithm that is incorporated by many social media platforms. And this algorithm works by recording what posts users respond to and interact with, for example if you are a football fan and you like comment or save football related posts the algorithm will push more sport related content to you as you browse the site.

The algorithm has over the years evolved as the platform has grown moving away from just image based posts to adding the likes of stories and reels. Now the algorithm is looking at the content you are looking at be that still images reels or video posts . the flaw in this system for a long time was that Instagram as a platform gave precedence to reels after the social media explosion of TiKToK. Now it works across the whole range of posts again.
