what are descriptive analytics

Descriptive analytics are used on social media as a way to measure the surface data analysis of a specific post, it can inform you of the likes a post gets, the number of interactive comments, the number of page views. As such these statistics can be used to interpret this data a show gaps that the end user can exploit to maximise coverage on their social media site, by analysing what happened in a past event and, any distinct patterns or trends. There is strength to be gained from collecting this user data however, while the data here is collected and processed it only provides a brief snapshot of a singular event and as such the data needs to be recorded over a period of time on numerous posts to give a solid indication as to your media accounts health.
